DIALLO K. MORRIS

Diallo Kobie Morris is a Hampton Roads native whose family has lived in the area for generations.  Diallo graduated from Hampton University with honors and graduated from the The Ohio State University School of Law in 1996.  Since 1997, Diallo has enjoyed the practice of law and helping people with their legal issues.  He began serving our community as a Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Chesapeake and now continues to do so in private practice.  Diallo draws on over 25 years of legal experience to assist his clients in all criminal defense, traffic, and family law matters.  We are proud  that Virginia Business Magazine selected Diallo as a 2023 Legal Elite.

VANIA M. O'KEEFE

Vania is a Chesapeake native and a graduate of Great Bridge High School.  Vania went on to graduate from Francis Marion University with a B.A. in Political Science and Professional Writing.  She obtained her law degree from the University of Richmond, TC Williams School of Law in 2001.  During law school, Vania interned at Virginia Legal Aid and the Chesapeake Commonwealth's Attorneys Office.  After graduation, she worked for a small firm practicing family law and estate planning before she moved onto the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake Public Defender's offices.  Thereafter she returned to private practice to focus on estate planning and family law.  Vania earned the title of Top 3 Estate Planning Lawyers in the City of Chesapeake for 2021.  Vania is certified as a Virginia Divorce Mediator by the Judicial Council of Virginia.  Virginia Business Magazine announced that Vania is a 2023 Legal Elite.

KATHERINE D. CURRIN

Katherine ("Kat") graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a B.A. in religious studies with highest honors in 2007.  She began her career as a Public Defender where she served the citizens of Chesapeake and Norfolk for 8 years.  Kat is licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina and practices throughout Hampton Roads.  Her practice is now concentrated in the areas of criminal defense and family law.

Kat is a member of Saint Michael Lutheran Church of Virginia Beach where she enjoys singing for the church.  She's a mother of two young children, and enjoys participating in volunteer activities to help kids throughout Hampton Roads.  She has helped to organize fundraisers for The Dwelling Place and CHKD.  She was named to the Top 40 Under 40 by Inside Business Magazine for Hampton Roads in 2016, and more recently was honored by the Norfolk Public Library and African American Community Creative Series as a 2020-2021 AACCS Humanitarian Servant Leadership Honoree.  Kat earned the honor of being named a '2023 Elite Lawyer for Criminal Defense.'

Kat is also an enthusiastic follower of all UNC Tarheel sports.

Vania has been very active in the local autism community, having served as president of the Autism Society of Tidewater and as a board member of Project Lifesaver Virginia Beach.  She is currently the president of the Southeastern Elementary School PTA and volunteers with Virginia's Wills for  Heroes Program.  Vania is the proud mother of four, and lives in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake with her children and two rescue dogs.
